FC Bayern Stamps - portraits of football players for FC Bayern's Magazine 51.

Throughout the history of FC Bayern München, hundreds of players have worn
the famous red and white jersey. Some, like Franz Beckenbauer, came from Munich, while many were German nationals who also played for the national team—or hailed from traditional football powerhouses like Spain, the Netherlands, or Brazil. But some, like Alan McInally (Scotland) or Pasi Rautiainen (Finland), were the first and only players from their respective home countries.

In the article, these pioneers talk about their time at FC Bayern München, what the
club still means to them today, and whether their compatriots back home take pride in their achievements - and if so, how they express it.

The illustration idea for the portraits was to create hand drawn illustrations of the five pioneers in a stamp format to highlight their historic achievements and showcase the unique culture and aesthetics of their home countries.

The illustrations were meant to reflect the style and design heritage of each player's home country and the player's jersey number as the stamp value.

The illustrations were drawn and coloured in PS with Wacom CintiQ.
